Shopper Pay Day will now come sooner

Shopper Pay is going bi-monthly!

We know how important it is, now more than ever, to ensure that you receive your payments for the accepted assignments you've completed in a timely manner.

As of February 2022, Shopper Confidential will be updating to a bi-monthly pay schedule.  We will still be sending shopper compensation through PayPal as that is currently the only way we issue payments to shoppers.  If you want to know more about being a Mystery Shopper/Secret Shopper with us visit our shopper information page.

How it works:

Shops submitted and approved from the 1st-15th will be paid on the last business day of the month.  Shops submitted and approved from the 16th to the end of the month will be paid on the 15th of the following month.

How does this affect your assignments?

This doesn't change anything about applying for, completing, or submitting assignments.  What you can do is ensure that you are completing your assignments by 11:59 pm on the eve of the cut-off day to ensure you receive your compensation arrives as expected.

  • For example: If you want to be compensated on the last business day of the month, ensure that you have your assignment submitted and approved by our validation team by the 15th before the end of the business day (5 pm EST).
  • Best practice tip:  Ensure it is submitted for validation the day before the cutoff.  This way if our validation team sends your report back for updates or more information, you can make the edits to submit it on time for that pay cycle.

Why did we make this change?

We value our shoppers very much!  Without our awesome shoppers, our clients would not receive the valuable data and insights that they need to improve their business!  So when shoppers are offering feedback that we can use to improve our business and our shopper relationships, we do what we can to make it happen.  Several shoppers commented that waiting 15-45 days for compensation is too long, and we agree!  We hope that this update to our payment cycles helps our shoppers and inspires shoppers to continue to work with us and recommend us to all their friends and family too!

What is next?

We are always looking into what is the best practices for our shoppers, our clients and our team.  We welcome feedback and suggestions that would improve the experience for everyone!  We know that PayPal is not ideal for everyone and we are looking into other ways to send compensation to our shoppers in Canada, USA, Australia, Ukraine, Korea, etc. Please know that we have explored many options and will continue to do so until we find the best solution for all!
